Fleetwood Mac – Rumours

Recorded between February and August of 1976, Rumours by Fleetwood Mac was released on February 4th of 1977.

After a number of lineup changes prior to 1975, the band formed this now classic line upof Lindsey Buckingham on guitar and vocals, Mick Fleetwood on drums, Christine McVie on keyboards and vocals, John McVie on bass, and Stevie Nicks on vocals.

Rumours was the band’s eleventh studio album and was released amid incredibly challenging personal relationship challenges. John McVie was the one who suggested the album title because he felt the members were writing “journals and diaries” about each other through music. As the name suggests, incredible press intrusions into the band members’ lives led to inaccurate stories – yes, Rumours.
